Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic, positive, and detail-oriented Marketing Manager to lead and grow our marketing program and team as we expand from one to multiple locations. This individual will oversee both traditional and digital marketing efforts while fostering a collaborative and creative environment. The Marketing Manager will ensure that marketing initiatives align with organizational values and foster meaningful connections with our community and customers.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Leadership & Management Support

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the marketing team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and growth.
  • Oversee branding and messaging to ensure consistency and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments, particularly Operations, to ensure marketing efforts support broader business objectives.
  • Manage the marketing budget to ensure efficient use of resources and a strong return on investment (ROI).

Marketing Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, print, and in-person channels to drive engagement and retention.
  • Oversee content strategy, emphasizing storytelling, brand values, and community connections.
  • Cultivate partnerships with local organizations and businesses to enhance brand visibility.
  • Manage digital and social media channels, ensuring consistent engagement with the community.
  • Direct and support content creation, including video, photography, and copywriting, ensuring high-quality execution.

Data and Performance Optimization

  • Establish and track performance metrics to evaluate marketing effectiveness and guide improvements.
  • Analyze customer insights, market trends, and competitive data to refine marketing strategies.
  • Implement and optimize SEO, paid advertising, and social media tactics to maximize reach and impact.

Required skills and traits:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, including brand management, leadership, and strategy.
  • Proven success in both traditional (events, print, PR, sponsorships) and digital (social media, SEO, paid ads) marketing.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide a team and deliver results.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities.
  • Proficiency in analyzing marketing data to inform strategy.
  • Passion for community-building, hospitality, and customer experience.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with tools such as:
    • Social media management
    • Email marketing platforms
    • SEO and paid advertising tools
    • Content creation software (photo, video, podcasting)
    • Website management tools

Preferred:

  • Experience in sports, recreation, hospitality, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Asana, Basecamp).
  • Experience in partnership development and community engagement.
