Instructor Series: Get to Know Joy Leising

Meet Joy Leising, one of our instructors at RECS. Joy has been instructing with us since we first opened in 2022!

Joy takes a thoughtful, technique-focused approach to her instruction, with an emphasis on both skill-building and strategy. Joy’s approach focuses on meeting people where they’re at and adjusting her instruction to help them meet their goals.

Her favorite part about being an instructor at RECS is the people. She enjoys building relationships and creating a strong sense of community, and finds it especially rewarding to see the people she works with grow and improve over time.

A fun fact about her is that she once won Canadian Nationals with Ben Johns!

Joy is the Event Coordinator for the Oregon Women’s Team Cup! Her goal is to lead and advocate for women’s Pickleball. Purchase tickets for the upcoming 2026 OWTC happening on May 30th at RECS Clackamas!
