Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about playing and memberships at RECS.
No. Anyone can play as a Visitor — no membership required. Visitors pay the applicable court fee and can book courts up to 4 days in advance. Members may also add Visitors to their reservations using the member’s advanced booking window.
Ask at the front desk about punch card options for discounted rates on multiple visits.
Start with our Intro to Pickleball clinic, offered a couple of times per week at each location. After attending, you’ll receive a one-month trial membership — and our team will guide you on the best ways to practice and improve during that time.
Quite a bit! Every club offers:
- Individual group play by skill level (round robins, “Humpty Dumpty,” and more)
- Team group play by skill level
- Clinics and beginner classes
- Social mixers and themed nights (80s Night, Halloween costume play, etc.)
- Competitive and team-based round robins
- Private lessons from certified RECS instructors
- Leagues and tournaments
Both include the same perks and court rates. The difference is in how far ahead you can book.

Two reasons: the annual plan is significantly cheaper than paying month-to-month, and annual members get priority to renew if the membership cap is reached at their club.
Yes. Each club has a membership cap based on the number of courts. Annual members have renewal priority when a club reaches capacity.
With a letter from your physician, we can pause an annual membership for up to two months. Reach out to your club’s front desk to get that process started.
A network membership lets you play at any RECS club location — not just the one where you signed up. Premier, Premier Access, and qualifying Founding memberships are all network memberships.
Yes, if you’re a Premier, Premier Access, or Founding member. (At Clackamas, Founding members must be on their second renewal term to have network access.)
The club where you purchased your membership is your “home” club — where your best rates and longest booking windows apply. All other RECS locations are considered “away” clubs.
When visiting any RECS club other than your home club, the following terms apply regardless of your membership tier:
- Court fee: $5/hr
- Booking window: 10 days in advance
- Lesson booking window: 14 days in advance
Yes! If you pre-purchase a membership at Camas or Corvallis before opening day, your network benefits are active at other RECS clubs right away.
At Clackamas, yes — we accept Renew Active, One-Pass, and Silver & Fit benefits. Click here for more information.
At other clubs, negotiations with Optum (Renew Active and One-Pass) and American Specialty Health (Silver & Fit) are ongoing. In the meantime, we offer discounted programming for 65+ players at those locations.
